JAKARTA The series of holding the SenengMinton 2025 Festival officially ends. The final series of the festival in this year's calendar takes place in the city of Magelang, Central Java.
The highlight of the last series of events initiated by the Central Java PBSI Provincial Management (Pengprov) and the Djarum Foundation Sports Service was held Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Djarum Magelang Sports Hall.
This festival is a badminton recognition event for students in grades 1 3 elementary school (base school) through an educational and fun approach. The closing event in Magelang was attended by 480 students from 16 schools, completing a total of 2,266 participants from five cities throughout 2025.
Djarum Foundation's Director of Sports Service, Yoppy Rosimin, called this festival an important part of early childhood coaching due to athlete regeneration and coaching is a long-term process that cannot be obtained instantly.

"The process must be started consistently from an early age. This festival is a means of introducing badminton that is educational and easy for students to accept so that love for sports can grow first before entering a more serious training stage," said Yoppy.
The chairman of the Central Java PBSI Provincial Government, Basri Yusuf, assessed that the enthusiasm of students, teachers, and parents showed the effectiveness of the coaching approach at the elementary school level.
"The enthusiasm of the participants to get acquainted with badminton is extraordinary. This is our dream because so far coaching has been carried out by the club, but now we can handle a lot of schools," said Basri.
As usual, participants took part in five game-based hurdles, such as a shuttle run, pyramid shuttlecock, throwing the shuttlecock, and zig zag run, which were designed to train motor skills and introduce the basic badminton techniques.
Each school sends six first-class students consisting of four sons and two daughters, while for the second class there are 10 participants per school with a composition of six men and four daughters.
Furthermore, in the third class category, per school sent 14 students consisting of eight sons and six daughters.
During the implementation, the fighting spirit was shown by SDN Kemirirejo 1 which brought 30 students to participate in the SenengMinton Festival 2025.
Sports teacher at SDN Kemirirejo 1, Zenuwardiyanto, said that the process of introducing badminton at school received a positive response from students.
Although he does not yet have badminton extracurricular, Zenu hopes that his students will find more motivation to pursue the sport of tepok bulu to join the club.
"Thank God, the students can do their best. Hopefully, many students will be more interested in playing badminton. Thank you Djarum Foundation, this is a valuable opportunity for our school to be able to attend the SenengMinton Festival," said Zenu.
