SEA Games 2025 Results: Indonesian Women's National Team Bend Thailand 0-8

The Indonesian Women's National Team suffered a crushing defeat against Thailand in the first match of the 2025 SEA Games group phase (doc. Indonesian national team).

JAKARTA The Indonesian women's national team suffered a crushing defeat of eight goals without reply against Thailand in the inaugural match of the 2025 SEA Games group stage.

The match between the two teams took place at Staidon Chonburi on Thursday, December 4, 2025. The Garuda Pertiwi squad cannot do much since the game just started.

After just eight minutes of the game running, Indonesia's goal immediately conceded an own goal. Gea Yumanda instead put the ball into his own net when he was about to close the opponent's shot in the penalty box.

Thailand continued to put pressure on Indonesia's defense after that. Garuda Pertiwi occasionally responded and could threaten the opponent's goal, but everything was in vain.

The goal that Iris de Rouw guarded then had to shake again in the 21st minute through the Aupachai Pattanan action. He managed to take advantage of the corner kick situation to bring his team even more in the wind.

Just six minutes later, Silawan Intamee got his turn to put his name on the scoreboard, again with a corner. Iris had brushed off the opponent's header, but the ball fell to Silawan's feet.

Thailand's goal party in the first half was then completed by Saowalak Pengngam's goal. He managed to increase the score with a powerful shot from outside the penalty box.

In the second half, the hosts immediately stepped on the gas and added two goals in just two minutes. Both goals were scored by Jiraporn Mongkoldee, respectively in the 50th and 52nd minutes.

Just three minutes later, Indonesia's goal conceded again through Panitha's efforts. Jiraporn then scored his third goal in this match in the 60th minute.

This big defeat made the chances of the Indonesian Women's National Team to the semifinals difficult. Garuda Pertiwi still has one match against Singapore, which must be won in order to maintain the chance to the semifinals.
