JAKARTA The rising national tennis star, Janice Tjen, is included in the list of players who will be brought to Thailand to face the 2025 SEA Games next week.

The Central Board of the Indonesian Tennis Lawn Association (PP Pelti) has officially released a list of players who will be brought to the biennial event. All of them have 13 players on the list, consisting of seven sons and the rest are girls.

Indonesia lowered its best strength in the tennis sport for the 2025 SEA Games. Apart from Janice, names such as Aldila Sutjiadi to Rifqi Fitriadi were also brought.

Janice is in the middle of her best performance this year with an astonishing number of achievements, including being able to hit the main draw of the Grand Slam season closing the US Open 2025 season.

In addition, Janice also won WTA 250 Chennai Open 2025 in India. This achievement made him make history as the first Indonesian tennis player to win a women's singles title at the WTA Tour in 23 years.

Previously, the 23-year-old who was born in Jakarta won the WTA 125 Jinan Open and managed to become runner-up at WTA 250 Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he lost to Tiantsoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah in the final.

The other four names in the women's sector are Priska Madelyn Nugroho, Priska Kirana Junarto, Meydiana Lavila Reinnamah, and Mischka Sinclaire Goenadi. The last three names are debutants at the SEA Games.

From men, Indonesia also brought Christopher Benjamin Rungkat. The rest are Lucky Candra Kurniawan, Ignatius Anthony Susanto, Justin Barki, Tegar Abdi Satrio Wibowo, and Aldhito Ramadhan Dwi Kurniawan.

This composition makes tennis confident that it can achieve great success in the White Elephant Country with a target of getting five gold medals from seven up for grabs. If achieved then tennis will automatically become the overall champion.
