JAKARTA - A total of 16 countries will certainly qualify for the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup which will take place in Saudi Arabia on 7-24 May 2026, including Indonesia U-17.

The slot for the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup participants has been fully filled. There were seven teams that managed to make sure they qualified for the finals after becoming group winners in the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup Qualifiers.

Previously, the U-17 2026 Asian Cup Qualification agenda took place from 22-30 November 2025. Seven countries that won tickets to the U-17 Asian Cup through qualifying channels were China, Yemen, Vietnam, India, Australia, Thailand, and Myanmar.

China managed to qualify for the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup after winning Group A with a perfect 15 points after sweeping five matches with a win.

Yemen also successfully qualified for the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup as winners of Group B with a perfect 15 points without defeat.

Furthermore, Vietnam managed to advance to the final round also with a perfect score of 15 points after the decisive match to destroy Malaysia 4-0.

Then, India also managed to qualify for the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup finals with two wins, one draw, and one loss from four matches played in Group D.

Meanwhile, Australia qualified as winners of Group E with a score of 10 points from three wins and a draw from four matches.

The seven teams that qualified for this qualifying followed eight teams who had confirmed themselves to qualify first because of their success in breaking into the quarter-finals of the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup.

The eight countries are Indonesia, Japan, North Korea, Qatar, South Korea, Tajikistan, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.

Then another quota belongs to the host of the 2026 U-17 Asian Cup which automatically qualified for the final round, namely Saudi Arabia.
