Anthony Joshua Bets Careers In The Duel Against Jake Paul

JAKARTA Anthony Joshua (AJ) is considered to have risked his reputation as a top fighter in the heavyweights when he decided to take the ring against Jake Paul in the middle of next month in Miami, United States.

The famous boxing promoter and founder of Queensberry Promotions, Frank Warren, said that in addition to reputation, AJ could also break his dream of fighting Tyson Fury if he lost against Paul.

"If he performs badly against Jake Paul, when you consider the experience he has and what Jake Paul has, I think he should just stop (fight)," said Frank Warren, who is Fury's promoter.

Joshua has not fought since losing in five rounds to former IBF heavyweight world champion Daniel Dubois. There are several big names who are referred to as potential opponents when preparing for a comeback, but instead he chose Paul.

The fighter from the United States started his career as a YouTuber before turning into a boxer. However, he is still a beginner professional boxer in cruiserweight.

On the other hand, Joshua is a former heavyweight world champion and Olympic gold winner so he almost couldn't imagine losing or having to fight desperately to win against Jake Paul later.

Warren said that Jake Paul countedly made a bold decision to fight Joshua, who was physically and with achievements like earth and heaven. So, it's not impossible that Paul will be able to look surprising.

"The thing you need to consider is that Jake Paul is indeed in the fitness center, already training, and has now become a licensed boxer," he said.

Fury is said to be ending his retirement and returning to the ring in 2026. One of the long-awaited fights is against Joshua, who will be one of the biggest matches in the world of boxing.

The fighter nicknamed King OfTEN decided to retire from boxing after losing for the second time against Oleksandr Usyk at the end of last year.
