Ultras Garuda Demo Gembok PSSI Office

JAKARTA Ultras Garuda, one of the Indonesian National Team (Timnas) supporters groups, locked up the PSSI office when holding a demonstration demanding a revolution in the federation.

The demonstration took place in front of the GBK Arena, Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, November 14, 2025. The action group closed their demonstration by locking the national football parent office.

Approximately 50 supporters attended the action. They came with a number of demands, especially urging PSSI General Chair Erick Thohir and Executive Committee Member Arya Sinulingga to step down.

They came with distinctive black attributes and voiced strong criticism that PSSI was considered to have failed to bring positive achievements and image to Indonesian football at the international level.

This demo is an explosion of Ultas Garuda's disappointment over PSSI's failure to bring the Indonesian national team to appear on the 2026 World Cup stage.

Another disappointment is that PSSI has not yet shown a new coach to replace Patrick Kluivert. In fact, there is an agenda for this month's FIFA Matchday which should be followed by the Indonesian national team.

Chairman of the National Team Agency (BTN) as well as manager of the Indonesian National Team and Member of the PSSI Executive Committee, Sumardji, responded to these aspirations. He emphasized that the voice of the supporters is part of the public rights that must be respected.

"Everything will be accommodated and we will listen to everything. Surely this will be used as a discussion within PSSI," he said.

A number of new candidates for the Indonesian national team have now emerged. However, discussions on the candidate for coach are still ongoing within the PSSI Executive Committee.

Sumardji said that the new coach's decision-making mechanism would be brought to the PSSI Executive Committee meeting.

"I remain guided that what the General Chair said, five names, that's what we will do further," he said.
