Norris Strengthens The Top Position Of The F1 Standings After Winning In Brazil

JAKARTA Lando Norris managed to strengthen his position at the top of the F1 standings after he won the 2025 Brazilian Grand Prix race.

Norris completed the race which took place at Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace on Sunday, November 9, 2025, local time or Monday, November 10, with a record time of 1 hour 32 minutes 01.596 seconds.

"The race was crazy. Frankly, I don't think we were the fastest today, but I'm happy to be able to bring home the victory. It's a great win," Norris was quoted as saying by CNA.

The victory made the McLaren rider now 24 points ahead of his teammate, Oscar Piastri, who had to settle for finishing fifth after being awarded a penalty.

Piastri, who started from fourth behind Norris, was awarded a 10-second penalty for causing an incident on the fifth lap which made Charles Leclerc (Ferrari) fail to finish.

This is Norris' second or seventh consecutive victory of the season. Meanwhile, Mercedes young racer Kimi Antonelli, impressed with finishing in second place, which was the best result of his career.

Max Verstappen took the podium to complete the top three. The rider who defended Red Bull started from the pit lane and had a tire leak at the start of the race.

Victory in Interlagos strengthened Norris' position at the top of the standings with 390 points, trailed Piastri with 366 points in second place, and Verstappen collected 341 points in third place.

There are still three races left in this season's calendar, consecutively in Las Vegas, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi. Thus, the chances of becoming a world champion are still owned by the three names.
