Korea Masters 2025: Ubed To The Second Round, Chico Falls

JAKARTA Men's singles badminton player Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah or who is familiarly called Ubed managed to qualify for the second round of the 2025 Korea Masters.

The owner of the 2025 Asian Junior Championships secured tickets after winning two straight games 21-11 and 21-16 against Huang Ping-Hsien (China Taipei) on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, morning WIB.

"The first match is definitely not easy, earlier I focused on how to play first. Here I hope to enter the semifinal first," said Ubed in a statement.

This badminton player who was born in Sampang, Madura, appeared dominant in both games. In the first game, he was not overtaken after the opponent equalized the score 1-1.

Next in the second game, he started well and led 6-0. The big advantage made this 18-year-old badminton player comfortably lead until they win.

Ubed's sweet journey failed to be followed by Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo. The Papuan badminton player was eliminated early in the first half after being beaten by Viren Nettasisinghe from Sri Lanka.

Chico, who is the seventh seed in the Super 300 BWF level tournament, won the first game and dominated the second game, but instead missed at the end.

After getting a comeback in the second game, Chico performed poorly in the deciding game, which only got nine points. The match ended with a score of 21-14, 20-22, and 9-21.
