JAKARTA - Mixed doubles pair Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono / Atresia Naufa Candani won a gold medal at the 2025 Asian Youth Games (AYG).

Raihan/Atresia naik podium tertinggi usai mengalahkan Cheung Sai Ching/Chu Wing Chi (Hong Kong) dua gim langsung 21-11 dan 21-17 pada Kamis, 30 Oktober 2025, malam WIB.

"Thankfully today we were able to win in the mixed doubles sector. We managed to enter our strategy from the beginning of the first game, namely by playing patiently to control the front ball and half of the ball," said Raihan.

The achievement at this youth group multi-branch sporting event is in line with the target set by Raihan / Atresia.

On the way to the highest podium, their biggest test took place in the quarter-finals when they met Indian pair Jason Bjorn/Punera Angel. The duel ended with a score of 14-21, 21-17, and 21-16.

Raihan, who also became part of Garuda Muda when competing in the 2025 Junior World Championships, said that he and Atresia then immediately appeared at the Indonesia International Challenge.

The championship will take place in Yogyakarta. The win will be down in two numbers in the tournament.

"In addition to mixed doubles, I will also play in the men's doubles sector with Muhammad Rizki Mubarrok," he said.

In addition to the gold medal, badminton also won one bronze medal through the men's singles badminton player Fardhan Rainanda Joe.

The badminton sport only plays three numbers at the 2025 Asian Youth Games, namely men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles.

So far, Indonesia has collected four gold medals. Apart from badminton, gold is also donated by pencak silat, weightlifting, and judo.
