Arne Slot Finds Solutions So Liverpool Don't Lose Again

JAKARTA - Liverpool are beyond the suspicion of losing their fourth consecutive defeat in the English Premier League competition. Manager Arne Slot said he had to find a solution as soon as possible after Liverpool lost 3-2 against Brentford, Sunday, October 26, 2025 in the morning WIB.

The defeat was painful and made Liverpool even worse. The defending champion who started the competition well and was perched at the top of the standings but then sluggish when he just entered the ninth week.

How not, Liverpool have lost four times which have thrown them out of the top four. The number of defeats was the same as that of the Reds over the past season when they won the league title for the 20th and at the same time equal to Manchester United's achievements. Now, both teams are the ones who won the Premier League the most.

However, after the defeat to Brentford in a duel at the Gtech Community Stadium, Liverpool failed to add points. They dropped to sixth place after being passed by Man Utd who won 4-2 over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Slot admits Liverpool's performance against Brentford was the worst. According to him they deserve to be defeated by a team capable of breaking through a fragile defense.

"I've always said over and over that the opposing team now has a certain style of play against us. And it's a good strategy to play. Until now we still haven't got an answer," said Slot.

The former Feyennoord coach said much had to be fixed from Liverpool. Slot must immediately find a solution to stop the bad record.

Including when Slot prepared the team to anticipate deep throws that are usually done by The Bees players.

Only that preparation still failed because Brentford's first goal started from a far-away throw from Michael Kayode which Kristoffer Ajer received and then forwarded to Dango Outattara to convert into a goal.

Slot, further, said, 'If you make a lot of changes, I'm actually not surprised if we face a situation like this. It's just that I didn't think at all that we could lose four times in a row.'

The roads are not flat and bumpy. But this is still unacceptable if they lose four times. We also played five or at least six away matches. But it doesn't help much if our performance is still like this," he said.

Slot does need a solution. Moreover, Liverpool were originally believed to be rising after beating Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 in the Champions League.

Liverpool were also left behind in the match, but could then turn things around by scoring a big score. But they failed to maintain that good trend when they returned to play in domestic competitions.
