Eduardo Perez Admits Persebaya Has Analysis Of Persija's Strength

Persebaya has ambitions to reap full points to host Persija (doc. Persebaya).

JAKARTA - Persebaya Surabaya coach, Eduardo Perez, admitted that he was ready to escort the team through the ninth week of the 2025/2026 Super League. This cannot be separated from the analysis of the opponent's strength.

The Persebaya Surabaya and Persija Jakarta meeting will take place at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 19.00 WIB.

Ahead of the match, Eduardo admitted that Bajul Ijo's troops must be aware of Persija Jakarta's strength even though the Kemayoran Tigers are in a negative trend.

"We know and have analyzed the Persija squad, they are a strong team. However, of course, we will fight here to get the three points," Eduardo Perez was quoted as saying on the official I-League website on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Ahead of this meeting, Persija Jakarta was indeed in a negative trend after going through three matches without a win. In detail, the Kemayoran Tigers drew against Bali United and lost to PSM Makassar and Borneo FC.

Even though he will face a team that is caught in a negative trend, Eduardo is actually vigilant because he believes the match against Persija Jakarta will continue to be difficult.

The Spanish coach explained that Persebaya Surabaya is ready to go all out to secure three points because he will compete in front of his own supporters.
