Jaron Ennis Is Considered To Be Terence Crawford's Opponent

JAKARTA Jaron Ennis, the unbeaten former integrated welterweight world champion, is considered one of the most potential boxers to fight Terence Crawford.

Crawford, who is also unbeaten in his long career journey and the undisputed world champion in three different classes (light super, welter, and super-medium) recently reiterated dominance by stopping Canelo Alvarez.

Renowned boxing promoter Eddie Hearn said that Ennis is the only fighter right now who can break Crawford's dominance because other competitors have gone through their prime.

"Try to mention a fight other than Ennis vs Crawford that you really want to see and be realistic about," Hearn told Sky Sports.

Before defeating Canelo as the dominant ruler in the super-middle class in his final duel, Crawford had already beaten several big names in boxing, such as Errol Spence.

The fight against Canelo in the super-middleweight was previously considered impossible because he had to advance to two classes. However, Crawford proved otherwise.

Even so, going up to even tougher classes seems unrealistic even though they have managed to collect four major world championship belts in the super-middle class.

After the victory over Canelo, the 38-year-old fighter was judged to have almost no more commensurate opponents. The rematch against the Mexican champion is also considered impossible after a convincing victory.

Hearn said that Ennis, who was much younger, should have been Crawford's tough opponent. However, they need to have some matches before arranging the duel.

"The only fight I can't confirm Ennis will win 100 percent is against Terence Crawford because of how great he is," he said.

Apart from Ennis, several other names have also begun to emerge as potential new challengers. One of them is Hamzah Sheeraz, who is one of the top competitors in the super-middle class.

In addition, there is also Chris Eubank Jr who is known as a boxer with a big name. However, both of them do not yet have a strong track record at the world level.

Crawford on the other hand is likely to be ready to fight again. However, he will likely only go up in the ring if he gets paid a high fee.
