Jordi Can't Wait For The Indonesian National Team's Krucial Duel In The 2026 World Cup Qualification

Jordi Can't wait to defend the Indonesian national team in the 2026 World Cup Qualification (VOI/Karisa Aurelia Tukan).

JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team player, Jordi Amat, is busy with his schedule with Persija Jakarta. However, he admitted that he continued to maintain fitness because he couldn't wait to appear for the Garuda Squad in the Fourth Round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian Zone.

Jordi Amat expressed his feeling of impatientness and enthusiasm for the Indonesian national team after appearing to defend Persija against PSM Makassar on Sunday, September 21, 2025.

Jordi said that he was looking forward to two 2026 World Cup Qualification matches, October 2025. On that agenda, the Indonesian national team will face Saudi Arabia on (9 October 2025), then clash with Iraq on (12 October 2025).

"Yes, we are looking forward to the two matches (against Saudi Arabia and Iraq). However, our intention or personally, try to get fit as much as possible to be ready for the two matches," said Jordi Amat in a statement quoted Monday, September 22, 2025.

In preparation for appearing in the 2026 World Cup Qualification, Jordi Amat also admitted that he continued to build intensive communication with his fellow Indonesian national team players at Persija, Rizky Ridho.

"We have also spoken with Ridho over the past two weeks that we need to train and prepare ourselves more than ever," said Jordi.

According to the naturalized player, excellent physical condition is clearly a valuable asset that must continue to be considered. You see, it will be very profitable not only for himself, but also related to performance at the club and the Indonesian national team later.

"This (primary physical condition) is clearly good for the team (Persija) and good for the Indonesian national team," said Jordi Amat.

With high optimism, Jordi Amat also hopes that the hard work shown to maintain physical and performance ahead of the Indonesian national team match can bear fruit.

He revealed that his main target was clearly to help the Indonesian national team secure tickets to the 2026 World Cup finals.

"So, I hope that in these two matches we can be fit and ready to help the team and so that we can qualify for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers," he said.
