JAKARTA The Central Executive of the Sambo Indonesia Self-Defense Association (PP Persambi) is ready to hold the 2025 Sambo Youth and Junior Self-Defense World Championships.
The coordination meeting (rakor) held at JSI Resort Megamendung, Bogor, West Java, on September 15-16, 2025, ensures that this event runs according to schedule on October 3-5, 2025.
"This concerns the good name of the nation and state in the eyes of the international community and maintains the trust of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS). So, I make sure PP Persambi is ready to hold and succeed," said PP Persambi Chairman Krisna Bayu.
The coordination meeting which lasted for two days ensured the committee's readiness to welcome the presence of athletes and delegates. A total of more than 30 countries will come to enliven this prestigious event.

Krisna said that all aspects ranging from venues, accommodation, transportation, match systems, security, and to consumption have been prepared according to international standards.
"PP Persambi is ready to provide a new experience for athletes and invited guests who are present at this World Championship. This readiness also shows that Indonesia is capable and worthy of hosting a prestigious international sporting event," he said.
Furthermore, Krisna said that this event is not just a competition but will also be the pride of the nation to introduce the sport of sambo martial arts in the international arena.
He hopes that this event can be an inspiration for the younger generation to get to know and pursue sambo self-defense so that later it can strengthen the achievements and regeneration of Indonesian martial arts athletes.
"This event will strengthen Indonesia's position in the world's sports network, especially in developing new potential sports," he said.
He also ensured that the 2025 World Sambo Youth & Junior Championships was open to the public to watch it free of charge.
"All Indonesian citizens were invited to attend, enliven, and witness the history of the implementation of the Lambo martial arts World Championship for the first time in Indonesia," he said.
