Ditlantas Polda Riau Holds Drag Bike Session III, Press Wild Racing And Search For Young Racers

PEKANBARU Ditlantas Polda Riau kembali melaksanakan Program Pemolisian Kreatif bertajuk Drag Bike Session III sebagai upaya proaktif menekan aksi balap liar sekaligus mencetakkan bikin pebalap muda terlebiasa.

The activity was held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, afternoon WIB, from 16.30 to 18.30 WIB, on the front track of the Kaharuddin Nasution Stadium athletic venue, Rumbai, Pekanbaru.

The event was led directly by the Dirlantas Polda Riau, KBP Taufiq Lukman Nurhidayat, SIK, MH, and attended by officials from the Ditlantas Polda Riau, representatives from the Riau Province Transportation Service and Pekanbaru City, the motorcycle club community, Riau Police partners journalists, to dozens of participants.

A total of 50 verified racers who are members of Joki Bertuah, with a total of 150 starters, took part in the Drag Bike Session III.

The winners received certificates of appreciation and coaching funds which were handed over directly by Dirlantas together with the Riau Police Ditlantas and the LLAJ Forum.

Rajas, who won the championship, expressed his appreciation to the Ditlantas Polda Riau.

"I hope that this drag bike activity that has been scheduled can be carried out better."

"I also appeal to colleagues who like illegal racing not to do it again. You see, apart from disturbing other road users, it is also very dangerous for themselves and others," he said.

Dirlantas Polda Riau, KBP Taufiq Lukman Nurhidayat, emphasized that this drag bike program is a police innovation in providing positive alternative space for the community.

"This activity is a continuous step to suppress illegal racing actions that are troubling the community. In addition, we also want to increase public interest in automotive sports in an official and safe place," he said.

Furthermore, he added that this program is also part of an effort to approach the traffic police persuasively to the community, as well as a series of commemorations of the 70th Bhayangkara Traffic Day.

With the holding of the Drag Bike Session III, Ditlantas Polda Riau hopes that the community, especially the younger generation, will be increasingly aware of the importance of channeling automotive hobbies on the right, safe, and accomplished paths.
