2025 BWF World Championships: Indonesia Still Has 9 Representatives In The Round Of 16

JAKARTA Indonesia still has nine representatives who survive in the 2025 BWF World Championships (BWF World Championships 2025). They are now in the round of 16.

The second half of the 2025 BWF World Championship at Adidas Arena, Paris, France, will be held on Thursday, August 28, dawn WIB. Of the eight representatives who played on the third day of the tournament, six of them qualified for the round of 16.

Two representatives who had to lift their suitcases in yesterday's match were the debutant pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani and Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari.

Rinov/Pitha returned home after losing against the Hong Kong pair, Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet. As for Sabar/Reza, eighth seed, lost against Rasmus Kjaer/Frederik Sogaard from Denmark.

"It must be sad because this is our debut at the World Championships and is one of our dreams as well," said Sabar in a statement from PBSI Public Relations received by the media.

Meanwhile, the six representatives who managed to follow to the round of 16 consisted of two women's singles, two men's singles, one women's doubles, and one mixed doubles.

The two women's singles who kept their hope were Putri Kusuma Wardani and Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. As for the men's singles, there are Jonatan Christie and Alwi Farhan.

The other two are women's doubles Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti and mixed doubles Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.

The six followed three other representatives who had already locked the last 16 tickets the day before, namely Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Leo Rolly Carnando/Bagas Maulana, and Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi.

The last 16 of the 2025 BWF World Championships will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, until Friday, August 29, 2025 in the morning WIB.
