U-21 World Championship Results: Indonesia Defeated 0-3 Against Italy

Indonesia lost against Italy in the first match of the 2025 U-21 Women's Volleyball World Championship (doc. PBVSI).

JAKARTA The Indonesian U-21 Men's Volleyball National Team started their work at the U-21 Men's Volleyball World Championship or FIVB Volleyball Men's U-21 World Championship 2025 with disappointing results versus Italy.

Indonesia put pressure on it from the start of the match, especially in the first 10 points of the first set. However, after a 5-5 draw, Garuda Muda could no longer catch up with the opponent.

Muhammad Haikal and his friends had time to stick tight to Italy with a 10-11 position, but the figure immediately went wide to 12-17. Italy then continued to keep the gap points and finally took the lead.

In the second set, Italy immediately stepped on the gas after Indonesia identified the score 2-2. They managed to score five points after that and did not give Indonesia the opportunity to get closer.

Indonesia's efforts to minimize the advantage over Italy looked promising at the start of the third set after leading by a difference of six points 11-5. Italian slowly reduced it to 13-14.

Indonesia's strength then wavered after the 19-19 position. Even though they still gave resistance, Indonesia failed to extend the match to the fourth set.

This defeat made Indonesia have to settle for fifth place in the Group D standings. Indonesia has not collected points with Tunisia, which is in the caretaker position.

Indonesia will then undergo a match against Tunisia on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 20.00 local time or 19.00 WIB.
