JAKARTA A total of five sports (sports) enlivened the Olympic Movement in Action (MOIA) organized by the Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia).

The 2025 Olympic Movement in Action (OMIA) took place at the Gelora Bung Karno Senayan Intermediate Stadium and West Plaza GBK, Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, August 15, 2025.

OMIA is an annual directive from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) aimed at encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle, socializing Olympic values, and expanding sports participation in all circles.

"Today, NOC Indonesia and stakeholders are here to launch this Olympic Day activity," said NOC Indonesia Executive Committee Member Harry Warganegara.

The five sports presented in this activity are archery, athletics, 3X3 basketball, skateboarding, and padel, new sports that are receiving many remarks from the Indonesian people.

The Olympic Day activity includes coaching and exhibitions from the five participating sports capangs. Everything is open to the public and there are national athletes.

Harry explained that OMIA is one of Indonesia's NOC strategic programs to echo and promote Olympic sports and values to the public.

"Of course this is not just a ceremony, but here as a lesson rather than the Olympics itself. In addition, we also have programs that enter schools," he said.

OMIA is also not only about sports, but about inspiring and inviting people to experience the energy of the Olympics directly with a simple goal, namely to make sport a part of a lifestyle, building character, and strengthening unity.

The role of NOC Indonesia in OMIA includes coordination with the IOC, presenting potential Olympics and new sports in Indonesia, as well as bringing athletes closer to the community through coaching clinics, friendly matches, and interactive sessions.

In addition to watching, visitors can try out their favorite sports directly, interact with national athletes, and enjoy sports entertainment at the West Plaza Senayan.

OMIA is in line with the IOC initiative to encourage the National Olympic Committee (NOC) around the world to hold inclusive activities that revive Excellence, Friendship, and Respect values.

This activity was held thanks to the collaboration between NOC Indonesia and the national federations of each sport and full support from the Bung Karno Regional Management Center (PPK GBK) as well as sponsors such as Mills, TikTok, Aice, Baic, and Kings Travel.
