JAKARTA Men's singles badminton player Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah received a bonus of Rp45 million plus one television unit measuring 43 inches from his club, PB Djarum, after he won the 2025 Asian Junior Championships or the 2025 Badminton Asia Junior Championship (BAJC).
The bonuses in the form of deposits and televisions were symbolically handed over to Ubed at Plaza Senayan, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, afternoon WIB.
The Djarum Foundation Sports Service Director and PB Djarum Chairperson, Yoppy Rosimin, emphasized that this award is a form of club consistency for outstanding athletes.
"We want to give our appreciation for the athlete's struggle to become a champion at the Asia Junior event, it is not an easy thing to achieve, especially in the Indonesian men's singles sector, it has not won for a long time," said Yoppy.

The 2025 Asian Junior Championships made Ubed successfully end the drought of Indonesia's men's singles title in the tournament, which has been around for 24 years.
Kali terakhir tunggal putra Indonesia naik podium tertinggi di ajang BAJC terjadi pada 2001 ketika Ardiansyah mengalahkan komatriotnya Sony Dwi Kuncoro.
Ubed is the third Indonesian men's singles badminton player to win at the Asian Junior Championship, following in the footsteps of Taufik Hidayat in 1997 and of course Ardiansyah in 2001.
Yoppy said that the achievement made by Ubed is an indicator that young Indonesian talents have now begun to be able to compete to be the best in Asia.
"Apart from Ubed, there are still Richie Duta Richardo and other junior athletes. Hopefully they will continue to excel and compete at the Junior World Championships in India (in October 2025)," said Yoppy.
In addition to Ubed, awards were also given to four other PB Djarum athletes for their achievements in the same event, namely Ikhsan Latitudin Pramudya, Rinjani Kwinnara, Richie Duta Richardo, and Riska Anggraini.
Ikhsan/Rinjani are runners-up in mixed doubles, Richie Duta Richardo as the men's singles semifinalist, as well as the Riska/Rinjani pair as semifinalists in the women's doubles number. Each gets 43 inches television.
Ubed will next appear at the 2025 World Junior Championships (WJC) which will be held in Guwahati, India, in October 2025. It will be his last major tournament at the junior level.
