JAKARTA - The All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has pocketed 43 names of young women from the selection of the HYDROPLUS event for the 2025 U14 & U16 All Stars Pertiwi Cup which was held at the Supersoccer Arena, Kudus Regency, Central Java.

The names are the result of direct monitoring of two coaches assigned specifically by PSSI, namely the Head Coach of the Indonesian Women's National Team, Satoru Mochizuki and Timo Scheunemann. The two of them have observed firsthand the tournament for the past few days.

"This tournament was held very well and we are grateful to be able to find approximately 43 names from the results of the Mochi and Timo coach selection," said PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Vivin Cahyani Sungkono, after watching the final match in Kudus, Sunday, July 13, quoted from Antara.

According to Vivin, all players caught will be prepared as the forerunner of the U16 Women's National Team for the U16 AFF Cup which is scheduled to take place in Solo. He said, the Pertiwi Cup, which was originally only on a local scale, has now developed into a national event that is entering its third season.

"Indeed, starting from Kudus, but after the third season the scale is getting bigger. On behalf of PSSI, we are very grateful and grateful for the holding of this tournament," he said.

As a follow-up, PSSI will hold a training camp (TC) in August, also in Kudus. Of the 43 names on the radar, as many as 21 players will be immediately called to participate in TC as part of the preparation for the AFF Cup.

"We hope that in the future the Pertiwi Cup can get bigger and reach more areas, including from small and remote cities such as Ujung Kulon. All Indonesian children must have the same opportunity so that our women's soccer will be stronger," added Vivin.

The head coach of the Women's National Team, Satoru Mochizuki, admitted that many potential young footballers had appeared during the tournament from Thursday (10/7) to Sunday (13/7). However, according to him, there are still a number of aspects that young players need to improve.

"The most important thing is that they must continue to practice and develop. They need training ground and coaches who can direct them to compete at the international level," he said.

Of all the players who stole the show, Mochizuki highlighted one of the players who performed brilliantly throughout the tournament, namely Fadilla from the All Stars team of North Sumatra, who managed to score 10 goals and became a top scorer.

"It doesn't mean that only he is good, but number 11 (Fadilla) does stand out. His playing style and instincts to score goals are extraordinary. I'm curious about what kind of player he will be in the future," he said.
