JAKARTA Carlos Alcaraz performed an outstanding game at Wimbledon 2025 to end England's resistance, Cameron Norrie, and advance to the semifinals.

The tennis player who has five Grand Slam titles underlined why he became the tournament's favorite with a brilliant 6-2, 6-3, and 6-3 wins on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, morning WIB.

"Playing in the semifinals of Wimbledon again is a very special thing. My confidence is very high, I feel amazing. It's my best game so far in the tournament," Alcaraz said.

The Spaniard and defending champion at Wimbledon will next face Taylor Fritz, fifth seed from the United States who is eyeing his first Grand Slam title, in the last four.

Fritz secured his place in the semifinals of Wimbledon for the first time with a 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, and 7-6 (7-4) wins over Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov.

Alcaraz is the second seed behind Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner. However, his superior record on the grass court and his good performance made him a tennis player to be reckoned with.

Victory over Norrie marks a consecutive 23rd victory for Alcaraz, who is trying to become the fifth player to win three Wimbledon titles in a row in the Open era.

Alcaraz became the second active tennis player to successfully advance to three or more semifinals Wimbledon equaled Novak Djokovic's seven-time winning record.
