Tosin Adarbioyo Supports Cole Palmer Who Is Being Criticized

Cole Palmer is in the middle of criticism, Tosin Adarbioyo has always supported to perform well at Chelsea (Instagram/@chelseafc).

JAKARTA - Tosin Adarabioyo defended his Chelsea teammate Cole Palmer in the midst of criticism for his appearance. He supports the "little star" to develop in the 2025 Club World Cup.

Chelsea departed their training ground in Miami on Friday, June 27, 2025, local time, ahead of the last 16 match against Benfica in Charlotte on Sunday, June 29, 2025, early morning WIB, after finishing in second place in Group D.

Palmer is a substitute who was not played in a 3-0 win over Esperance de Tunis on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 WIB. So far, he has had difficulty showing his best game after experiencing a decline in performance during the second half of the 2024/2025 season.

Although the 23-year-old has recorded 20 involvements in 21 Premier League games, only four goals have been scored in the last 17 matches.

However, that did not stop tournament organizers from making Palmer one of the icons of the 2025 Club World Cup.

His face was plastered on banners in Philadelphia where Chelsea played their last two games in the group stage.

"I've known Cole since he was a kid. So seeing him on a big banner made me very, very proud."

"I think people forget that he's 22, 23 years old. He's one of the faces of this tournament."

Tosin, a 27-year-old, is one of the senior members of the squad who has been in Manchester City youth team - just like Palmer and Liam Delap-before spending four years at Fulham and moved to Stamford Bridge last summer.

"I think wherever I am, I have always been one of the leaders in the team, every team I have played for."

"However, being one of the oldest was a different feeling. It was something I faced."

"I've experienced more than almost the whole squad. Obviously there are players who have experienced more than I have. Enzo (Fernandez) won the World Cup (with Argentina in 2022)."

"Cole, won three titles (with Manchester City in 2022-2023). However, in any way I can, I try to help the players," said Tosin.
