Mexico City Extends Contract To Host F1 Until 2028

JAKARTA - Mexico City maintains its status as host of the Formula 1 to 2028 races, after a contract extension on Thursday.

"We are excited to announce that the Mexico City Grand Prix will continue to be part of our calendar until 2028," Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali quoted Antara as saying.

Formula 1 is energy, passion, and emotion, and every year the unique atmosphere created by our fans in Mexico City is one of the most extraordinary and energy-filled experiences in our championships," he continued.

The Mayor of Mexico City, Clara Brugada, expressed his joy because the city he leads will still host the prestigious race.

The Mexican capital is home to Formula 1, Brugada.

Formula One was held again at the Autodromo Circuit Hermanos Rodrmenguez, Mexico City, in 2015 after 23 years of absence. The return of Formula 1 received a lively welcome from fans in the Latin country.

In 2025, the Mexico City Grand Prix will take place from October 24 to 26.
