JAKARTA Boxer from Ukraine, Oleksandr Usyk, prefers the fight for the undisputed world heavyweight title against British champion Daniel Dubois, as his priority.

Usyk currently holds WBO, WBA and WBC heavyweight titles. Dubois secured the IBF belt after defeating his Senegera partner Anthony Joshua last year.

"If the fight for the undisputed world champion is possible then it will be Usyk's priority," said Alex Krassyuk, Usyk's promoter, as reported by Sky Sport.

Usyk became the undisputed world champion after defeating Tyson Fury in their first clash in May 2024. He then released the IBF heavyweight belt to play again with Fury in December 2024.

In the rematch, Usyk won the fight again so he remained the holder of the WBO, WBC, and WBA world heavyweight titles. He was then ordered to undergo a mandatory WBO match against Joseph Parker.

However, the clash with Parker was not prioritized by Usyk rather than against Dubois. The fight against Parker is planned to be decided this week.

Previously, Daniel Dubois promoter Frank Warren made sure that they were also working on a fight between his clients against Usyk.

"Dubiis has several choices, but the fight I want to see happen is his fight against Usyk. For clear reasons, four belts are at stake," he said.

Dubois previously lost against Usyk in August 2023. However, currently Dubois has shown extraordinary developments to become a capital for revenge.

If this happens, clashes between Usyk and Dubois could occur in Saudi Arabia or at Wembley Stadium, England. The second option is considered potential because tickets are likely to be sold out.
