First Impression Of The Indonesian National Team's Clualvert: Look At The Quality Of Players

Patrick Kluivert's first training with the Indonesian national team to prepare for the 2026 World Cup Qualification (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team, Patrick Kluivert, finally underwent his first training with the Garuda Squad on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, in Sydney to prepare for the 2026 World Cup Qualification continued match.

Patrick Kluivert has officially served as coach of the Indonesian national team in January 2025. Since being appointed, Kluivert has been carrying out his duties by going around monitoring players to then summon selected players for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against Australia and Bahrain.

After carrying out his duties, Kluivert finally led the inaugural exercise of the Garuda Squad. He also seemed so excited and expressed his first impression on the players.

"My first impression is very good. We did a series of bait exercises and ball possession games."

Kluivert also assessed that the long flights experienced by the players did not have a major impact on the physical condition of the players. The players were seen undergoing enthusiastically training.

"Yes, they did have a long flight, but they stayed in shape and looked comfortable in training."

"The way they flow the ball shows a good sign and good speed. I am very happy with this first exercise," Kluiver said.

The Indonesian national team will face Australia on the seventh matchday of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Third Round on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 16.10 WIB, at the Sydney Foorball Stadium.
