Hendra Setiawan Trains Patience/Reza At All England 2025

Hendra Setiawan became the coach of Sabar/Reza at All England 2025 (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Badminton legend Hendra Setiawan trains the men's doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani for All England 2025 which took place this week.

Hendra's certainty that he will sit in the coach seat is known through the upload of the Extraordinary Plenipotentiary Ambassador (LBBP) of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Kingdom, Desra Believe, on his personal Instagram Sunday, March 9, 2025.

"Welcome coach Hendra, good luck with Patience and Reza," wrote Desra on Instagram.

This was reinforced by the official Instagram upload of the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI). In the post, Hendra can be seen seriously monitoring the Indonesian men's doubles training.

The men's doubles event gold medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics then responded in the comments column.

"Meet again @badminton.ina," said Hendra's comment in the comments column of the national badminton parent.

Hendra decided to retire from badminton in January 2025. He hung up his racket with his co-star, Mohammad Ahsan, and decided to play their last match at the Indonesia Masters 2025.

During his career in badminton, Hendra won a number of prestigious titles. In addition to the Olympic gold medal, he was also recorded as having won the All England twice with Ahsan, namely in the 2014 and 2019 editions.

Together with the same pair, Hendra also recorded three world titles on three different occasions. The three titles were won in 2013, 2015, and 2019.

All England 2025 will take place from Tuesday, March 11, 2025, to Sunday, March 16, 2025. Indonesia has sent a total of 11 representatives there, including defending champions Jonatan Christie and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
