Held To A Draw With Napoli, Simone Inzaghi: We're Over

JAKARTA - Simone Inzaghi emphasized that Inter Milan had performed optimally in the match against Napoli in the 27th week of the Italian League. In the match which took place at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, Sunday, March 2, they drew 1-1.

"It was a tough game, the first half was balanced, while we had some problems after the break and Napoli pressed us, but we have to remember there are sharp opponents who obviously have fresher feet than us," Inzaghi told DAZN, citing ANTARA on Sunday 2 March.

In that match, the Nerazzurri enjoyed a four-point lead at the top of the table as Federico Dimarco fired a beautiful free kick into the top corner of the net in the 22nd minute.

However, after the second half, their game declined. Napoli created 12 chances, inversely proportional to Inter who did not fire a single shot.

The 12 shots finally resulted in one goal for Napoli scored by Philip Billing from close range in the 87th minute to end the match with a score of 1-1.

With Atalanta's draw against Venezia, this result has not changed the hunt for Scudetto for the time being, where Inter are still at the top with 58 points, followed by Napoli with 57 points, and Atalanta with 55 points.
