Liga 1 2024/2025 Results: Persita Beaten By Borneo FC 1-2 At Home, Stuck In The Middle Board

JAKARTA - Persita Tangerang received unsatisfactory results in the 24th week of Liga 1 2024/2025. At home to Borneo FC, the host was beaten 1-2 by the visitors.

Persita and Borne's match was held at the Indomilk Arena on Saturday, February 22 at 15.30 WIB. However, despite appearing as the host, Persita was even behind.

Borneo FC took the lead when the game had only been running for 13 minutes. The execution occurred from the penalty spot carried out by Matheus Pato who brought the visitors 1-0 up.

After that, Persita tried to get up by dominating the match. But the visitors almost doubled the number again before halftime, but Mariano Peralta's execution was pushed over by goalkeeper Kartika Ajie.

Not long after, it was Persita's turn to be able to reduce the gap. In the 68th minute Eber Bessa scored a beautiful goal which brought Persita to change the score to 1-2.

This situation became an injection of enthusiasm for Persita who continued to chase the equalizer. Jack Brown almost equalized in the 81st minute, but his close-range flick was still wide of goal.

Until the end of the match, the score lasted 1-2 for Persita Tangerang. For this result, Pesut Etam moved up to fifth in the standings with 38 points, while Persita was stuck in eighth place with 35 points.
