Two Injured After Spectators Fall From The Tribune In Bundesliga Match

Eintracht Frankfurt's victory over Holstein Kiel disappeared due to an incident of spectators falling in the stands (Instagram/@eintrachtfrankfurt).

JAKARTA - Two spectators suffered serious injuries after someone fell from the middle tribune into the bottom stands in a Bundesliga match on Sunday, February 16, 2025, between Eintracht Frankfurt vs Holstein Kiel.

The injured people were treated by paramedics at the stadium before being taken to the hospital. Two other spectators suffered minor injuries in the incident.

"The atmosphere is so quiet at the end. Someone fell from the middle to the lower level. Two supporters were seriously injured and were on their way to the hospital."

"The other two suffered minor injuries. We wish him a speedy recovery," said Eintracht spokesman Bartosz Niedzwiedzki, in a statement at a press conference.

After the match, Eintracht Manager, Dino Toppmoller, also expressed his sympathy for the incident.

"Get well soon for those who are injured. Of course, you feel pressured when you see it," he said.

Meanwhile, Eintracht managed to win the match 3-1 over the promotion club.

However, the joy of the three points and third place in the Bundesliga 2024/2025 standings with 42 points disappeared as a result of the incident.

The atmosphere turned quiet at Walds Stadium, which at that time was filled with 57,700 spectators.
