JAKARTA Francesco Bagnaia faced a difficult day in the MotoGP trial in Buriram. The problem with machines, chassis, and fairness makes the Ducati Lenovo racer lag behind his teammate, Marc Marquez.

"Today was a tough day," Bagnaia said on Wednesday, February 12, quoted by VOI from crash.net. We have to work hard to solve some problems in various areas. Luckily on the other hand their garage is making progress, so we will analyze their data, and that makes me more confident.

Bagnaia revealed that she prefers to use the 2024 Ducati chassis compared to the latest version of 2025.

Ducati first introduced a 2025 chassis in a trial at Barcelona last year, and Bagnaia gave a positive impression. However, after last week's trial in Malaysia, he began to doubt his effectiveness.

"Honestly, we will focus more on this chassis [2025] in the future," Bagnaia said. "Right now, we are more focused on other aspects of the bike because time is very limited, and we have to make decisions about more important things."

According to Bagnaia, the new chassis is working well in Malaysia, but there are still some problems that make him decide to postpone it and maybe try it again later.

While Bagnaia chose the engine and chassis Ducati 2024, he still tried to fair 2025 even though he was not entirely sure of his performance.

"Fairing is also very crucial because changes can only be made once during the season, and the 2024 fairing has worked well," he explained.

In Buriram, Bagnaia is the only racer who is trying to fair 2025. However, another problem with his motorbike makes it difficult to provide clear feedback to the Ducati team.

"To be honest, I'm not too slow. Without doing a time attack, I'm just 0.8 seconds behind my best time. That's not too far away, but we have to focus more on this fairing tomorrow," he said.

Bagnaia emphasized the importance of conducting a long race simulation on Thursday to get more data.

"Tomorrow will be very important to do a long run, but first we have to give the team more feedback because today is very difficult to do," he concluded.
