Fadia Ready To Play In The 2025 Asian Mixed Team Badminton Championships

Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti is ready to compete in two numbers at the 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship (doc. PBSI).

JAKARTA Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti is ready to return to playing concurrently while defending Indonesia in the Asian Mixed Team Badminton Championships or the 2025 Badminton Asia Mixed Team Championship next week.

The event is scheduled to take place 11-16 February 2025 in Qingdao, China. Fadia is included in the list of 15 players to be sent by the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI).

Fadia revealed that she is likely to defend the women's doubles and mixed sectors in this event. The opportunity was open because the number of athletes sent by PBSI there was an odd number.

"Anyway, I'm ready to continue. Am I being fielded in mixed doubles or women's doubles," said the 24-year-old athlete who was born in Bogor Regency.

Fadia now plays in the women's doubles with Lanny Tria Mayasari. The duet has so far been pretty sweet, including generating titles at Thailand Masters 2025 last week.

As for the mixed doubles, Fadia is currently paired with Dejan Ferdinansyah who was recently withdrawn to the PBSI National Training Center earlier this year. The pair also managed to become runners-up in Thailand.

Fadia said that he would still try to perform optimally in the Asian Mixed Team Badminton Championships later if he was again trusted to play in two sectors at once.

"Every player definitely wants to give their best. So, what will be the strategy for the coach and athlete to discuss later."

"The problem is, we haven't had any training together and just finished from Thailand," he said.

In the 2025 Asian Mixed Team Badminton Championships, Indonesia will start its journey from Group B. The two opponents of the Red-White representatives in the group are Malaysia and Hong Kong.

At first this group consisted of four countries with Kazakhstan. However, in the latest release, the Central Asian country was moved into Group C with Japan and Thailand.

The changes were made by the International Badminton Federation (BWF) regarding the resignation of the Philippines. So, the remaining total of 12 countries divided evenly into four groups.

Indonesia will start the group stage against Hong Kong on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Indonesian representatives have a one-day gap before returning to Malaysia on February 13, 2025.

In the history of the tournament, Indonesia has never brought home a gold medal. The best achievement was the bronze medal in the 2019 edition which took place in Hong Kong.

In the 2023 edition, Indonesia's journey only reached the quarter-finals. At that time, the Red and White had to bury their dreams after losing 1-3 against South Korea.
