Manchester City Completes Recruitment Of Omar Marmoush Of 70 Million Euros

JAKARTA - Manchester City has completed the recruitment of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush, on Thursday, January 23, 2025

The Egyptian international has moved to the Etihad Stadium for a fee of 70 million euros plus additional costs. The bonus payments included in the deal amounted to a total of 5 million euros.

Marmoush signed a four-and-a-half-year contract on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, local time, and was able to make his debut with Manchester City against Chelsea on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

The agreement resulted in Manchester City's expenses in the January 2025 transfer market reaching 145 million euros, plus additional costs.

Marmoush became the third player Manchester City recruited in the January 2025 transfer market after the arrival of Abdukodir Khusanov from Lens and Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.

Both Khusanov and Reis started training on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and could join the squad against Chelsea.

The Citizens also patented the Haaland forward with a new nine-and-a-half year contract last week.

Marmoush, 25, arrived at Etihad after scoring 20 goals for Frankfurt this season. He will wear the number 7 shirt with Manchester City.
