Officially Join Ducati In MotoGP 2025, Marc Marquez Promises Not To Be Selfish

JAKARTA - The 2025 MotoGP will be passed by Marc Marquez in a different situation. He officially raced for the Ducati Factory. Together with his new team, he also promised not to put forward his ego in order to perform optimally.

As a new racer for Ducati, Marquez had revealed his target for the 2025 season. The moment was expressed during the launch at Madonna in Campiglio, Italy, Monday, January 20, 2025.

After briefly riding a GP25 motorbike for the first time in the season-end test in November 2024, Marquez admitted that he could not wait to undergo the final test in Sepang and play the first MotoGP 2025 series in Thailand.

"My first short-term goal is to enjoy driving. I know that if I succeed in doing that, all other things will follow," Marquez was quoted as saying by Crash on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

The Spaniard is also determined to become a new idol in MotoGP 2025, as happened in the 2024 season with Gresini.

"As I have said many times, when you are in the official team, the goal is none other than to be competitive in every race, fight for the podium and win, and try to be the protagonist in MotoGP," he said.

Despite having ambitions to win every race, Marquez tries not to put forward his ego as a big rider. He admitted that he would be the team rider for Ducati.

"We want to work and win as a team. Not who wins, but the team and everyone in Ducati who wins. Then, let's see in the end where we are in the standings," said Marquez.

"During the few days I've been with the team so far, I've seen the work atmosphere being fantastic. I can't wait to ride a GP Desmodedici again," he said again.
