Ilkay Gundogan Not Only Brings Manchester City To Win The FA Cup, But Also Sets An Extraordinary Record

JAKARTA - Manchester City won the FA Cup trophy after a 2-1 win over Manchester United in the final which took place at Wembley Stadium, Saturday, June 3. Ilkay Gundogan's two goals made The Citizens now keep their hopes of winning trebles.

Gundogan's first goal came when the game wasn't even a minute away. He took a brilliant volley past United goalkeeper David De Gea.

This goal was also recorded in the FA Cup history book. The reason is, Gundogan's goal was the fastest because it was created when the game had only been running for 12 seconds.

Initially, this record was held by Roberto Di Matteo while defending Chelsea. He did it in the 43rd second.

After 12 survived, Louis Saha was able to break the record. Now, the record is held by Gundogan.

Returning to the match, MU had equalized in the 33rd minute. Bruno Fernandes successfully completed his penalty execution task.

However, City took the lead again in the 51st minute. Gundogan listed his name again on the scoreboard after receiving a pass from Kevin De Bruyne.

The 2-1 score for Manchester City also lasted until the end of the match and made Pep Guardiola's troops even more with a record that Manchester United had set.
