Not Only Disabled, The Duri Kepa Village Head Who Was Suspected Of Deceiving Residents Has Been Removed, Anies

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has removed the Head of Duri Kepa, West Jakarta, Marhali, and Treasurer Devi Ambarsari from their positions. They are both suspected of being related to the alleged fraudulent case of Tangerang residents' money amounting to a total of IDR 264.5 million.

"The village head and treasurer have been relieved of their duties from the ASN (state civil apparatus) positions by their direct superiors by Government Regulation No. 94 of 2021", said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria to reporters in Jakarta, Monday, November 1.

Currently, both of them are in the process of being examined by the West Jakarta City Inspectorate and DKI Jakarta Province.

"In running the government, the village head and treasurer have been appointed daily executives", added Riza.

Even though they were released from their positions, both of them are still civil servants (PNS).

Previously, a Tangerang resident with the initials SKD on October 25, 2021, reported a case of suspected fraud and or embezzlement with the reported Head of Duri Kepa Village, Marhali at the Tangerang City Metro Police with a loss value of IDR 264.5 million.

Duri Kepa Village Head, Marhali, later denied that his party had borrowed funds from the SKD.

He said the loan was a personal loan from the treasurer on behalf of the village.

"It's a personal loan in the name of the village", he said.

Meanwhile, Devi Ambarsari in her statement signed on May 27, 2021, stated that the SKD deposited IDR 264.5 million in the Duri Kepa sub-district, known as the village head.

The money that went into the Duri Kepa Village account, continued the 1993-born civil servant, was transferred in stages and used to pay RT/RW honorariums.

The statement also stated that the return system was paid by Duri Kepa village by adding a fee of 10 percent of the nominal money deposited.

"I absolutely did not accept the money for my personal use", Devi wrote in a statement.

The West Jakarta City Government issued a release letter for the two of them.

"A letter of deactivation or a letter of release from the ASN position has been issued while waiting for the results of the examination decision or the issuance of a sentence", said West Jakarta Mayor Yani Wahyu Purwoko, Friday, October 29.
