COVID-19 Update As Of October 31: 532 New Cases, Accumulated 4,244,358

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 202,073 specimens were examined today. As a result, there were 523 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,244,358 and active cases are 12,318," As quoted from Ministry of Health data, Sunday, October 31.

Today's recovered cases increased by 497 cases, bringing the total to 4,088,635 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 17 people and a total of 143,405 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 113 cases and a total of 861,540 cases. Followed by West Java which has 100 new cases with a total of 705,829 cases. East Java has 57 new cases and a total of 398,268 cases. Then, Central Java has 54 new cases and a total of 485,110 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 78 recovered cases. Followed by East Java with an increase of 64 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 53 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 50 recovered cases.

There are six provinces that reported no new cases today, namely Bengkulu, Riau Islands, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, Maluku, and Papua. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 46,726,472.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.40 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 5,053 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, currently, there are 119,662,248 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 73,698,983 the second dose of vaccination. Then, the third dose of vaccination was 1,134,177. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
