Prosecutors In East Jakarta Prosecutors Become Victims Of Robbery In Rawamangun, Samsung A71 Is Missing

JAKARTA - Chandra Ary Wijaya, a prosecutor at the East Jakarta District Attorney's Office (Kejari Jaktim) became a victim of a mobile phone snatching on Jalan Pemuda, Rawamangun, Pulogadung, East Jakarta.

Previously, Chandra planned to take care of an ATM card at one of the banks located on Jalan Pemuda. Then the victim rushed back to the office by ordering the Grabcar application through his cellphone. However, while waiting for Grabcar to arrive, suddenly his cellphone was snatched.

"He (the perpetrator) was riding an automatic motorbike in black clothes. Suddenly he was taken away, the surroundings were quiet," Chandra told reporters, Saturday, October 30.

As a result of this action, the victim lost his Samsung Galaxy A71 mobile phone. The victim has also made a report to the Pulogadung Police Headquarters.

The victim advised the public to always be aware of crime on the streets. Although the victim is a law enforcement officer, he is not spared from street crime. He didn't want this to happen again and happen to other people.

The victim hopes that the police will routinely carry out patrols, especially at vulnerable points in East Jakarta.

"Be careful of people using gadgets (cell phones) because crime is indiscriminate. And it can happen to anyone, including me as a prosecutor who often hears cases of theft, robbery and snatching," he said.

Meanwhile, when confirmed by the VOI, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Pulogadung Police, AKP Heru Sugiarto, said that his party would immediately check the report and proceed to the location of the incident.

"We are still investigating this, we are still checking first. Not yet (there is CCTV), we will carry out an investigation," he told VOI, Saturday, October 30.

The Kanit will also check the location of the crime scene (TKP) to look for witnesses.

"We check the crime scene first, check and investigate," he said.
