The Allegation Of Multiple Identity And Fake Diplomas, Ferdinand Hutahaean: The Attorney General Must Be Replaced!

JAKARTA - Recently, the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, ST Burhanuddin, has discussed the death penalty for both Jiwasraya and Asabri corruptors. The option was conveyed by the former North Maluku Kajati in a briefing to Kajati, Wakajati, Kajari and Kacabjari during a working visit at the Central Kalimantan High Prosecutor's Office, Thursday, October 28, 2021.

There are allegations that this sentence is being echoed to cover the alleged scandal of information on diplomas and double identities which are now being hotly discussed by the public. An observer who is also a former politician, Ferdinand Hutahaean also spoke up.

Ferdinand admitted that he had long heard of the alleged dual identity of the Attorney General ST Burhanuddin.

"This is indeed an issue that has been around for a long time, yes, I have heard it several times and many have asked me about this (dual identity). Even the academic degrees that he has now become a question," said Ferdinand. in a written statement, Saturday, October 30.

For this condition, he also suggested that the Attorney General explain publicly regarding the alleged dual identity and his academic background. The reason is, if the allegations are proven to be true, then ST Burhanuddin has been dishonest with the President and even the people of Indonesia.

"Yes, of course, if what has been the issue so far is proven, I think that Burhanuddin as the Attorney General who must be willing to resign or be replaced by the President is absolute. Because there has been dishonesty there, right. If there is no honesty, he should be replaced, must resign. Resignation is better accompanied by an open apology to the public, "he said.

In addition, he urged the public who have accurate data related to this matter to immediately report the Attorney General to the Police.

"Because in order to carry out an investigation, the police must have a clear legal basis as well. For example, there are reports to the police that there have been falsification of identities, falsification of data, falsification of titles and so on," said Ferdinand.

"Don't let our president appoint an Attorney General whose identities and academic titles are suspected to be fake. Yes, maybe it's not the time to say it's fake, but it can be said that there have been mistakes like that," he stressed.

Regarding the discourse of the Attorney General to demand the death penalty for the corruptors of the Jiwasraya and Asabri cases, the prosecutor's observer Fajar Trio actually agrees with the idea. However, he said, it must be balanced with the quality and professionalism and integrity of law enforcement carried out by the prosecutor's office.

"If law enforcement conditions are still transactional, it's unfair that there is a death penalty. China alone has implemented the death penalty, many corruptors are still on the loose. This means that the death penalty for corruptors has not been effective," said Fajar.

He also challenged the Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin, to try to execute his subordinates who were involved in corruption cases.

"For example, Pinangki, who has clearly damaged the reputation of the prosecutor's office. How dare he? Or it could be that investigators who were found to have made a mistake after the examination was proven to have made a mistake or abused their authority, should be brought to justice. There is a lot of public discussion about it, it's true, the Attorney General is sentenced to death, don't you dare? Because if the allegations of identity information and double diplomas are proven to be true, then ST. Burhanudin has injured the trust of the President, the people and law enforcement in Indonesia, "said Ferdinand.
