75 Rickshaw And Jukir Drivers Thank You For Getting Food From The Police

JAKARTA - During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Asembagus Police personnel of the Situbondo Police held a social action.

Reported by humas.polri.go.id, Iptu Gede Sukarmadiyasa distributed basic food items to informal workers, Friday, October 29.

"This Friday Barokah social action is a form of Polri's concern for the impact of COVID-19, especially for informal workers such as rickshaw brothers, parking attendants and workers who depend on their daily lives by making a living on the streets," said Iptu Gede Sukarmadiyasa.

A total of 75 food packages were distributed while the members patrolled the locations or places where the pedicab brothers and parking attendants usually hang out.

In addition to distributing groceries, Iptu Gede advised the public to remain disciplined in health protocols and follow vaccinations.

Suparno, one of the pedicab brothers, expressed his gratitude to members of the Asembagus Police for this basic food assistance.

"In this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, life is getting more and more difficult, thank God we got help from the police. Thank you, Chief of Police," he concluded.
