Optimistic To Reach 2021 Performance Target, KPK Review And Evaluation Of Corruption Eradication Efforts

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is optimistic that their performance target this year will be achieved in the third quarter. Moreover, the KPK is now trying to conduct studies and evaluations to optimize its steps in an effort to eradicate racism in the country.

This was conveyed by the Chairperson of the KPK, Firli Bahuri, in a Working Meeting attended by the Leaders and Structural Officials in Yogyakarta, which was held for three days from 27-29 October.

"KPK reviews and evaluates the trident strategy of eradicating corruption whether it needs to be improved or not. Because the KPK continues to move dynamically, the KPK continues to make changes for improvement," Firli said in a written statement, Thursday, October 28.

Firli said that this evaluation needed to be carried out, especially since Law Number 19 of 2019 which became the basis for the work of the KPK had been ratified two years ago.

"It is important for the KPK to carry out a thorough institutional evaluation of the suitability of the tasks that have been carried out so far to achieve performance goals," said the former Deputy for Enforcement.

In addition, Firli said this working meeting would also discuss the KPK roadmap for 2022-2045. "From this long-term plan, we will see how Trisula's corruption eradication strategy will be implemented through a work program," he said.

The work meeting which was held outside the city, continued Firli, had been on the agenda for a long time, both from the aspect of budget planning and implementation design. The KPK ensures that all financing is in accordance with the Input Fee Standards set by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.

The KPK hopes that the results of this meeting can be immediately implemented in strategic and routine tasks in the future by work units at the deputies and secretariat generals. The goal is that KPK personnel can continue to focus on efforts to realize the performance goals of eradicating corruption.
