Investigating Corruption Cases In Tabanan Bali, KPK Searches DPRD Office Until PUPR Service

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) admits that it is conducting an investigation related to the alleged bribery in the administration of the regional incentive fund (DID) in Tabanan Regency, Bali.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, even stated that investigators had completed their search on Wednesday, October 27.

"The KPK investigation team has completed a search in Tabanan Regency, Bali," Ali told reporters, Thursday, October 28.

"The search as a forced effort is a series of investigations related to allegations of corruption in the giving and receiving of gifts or promises to manage the Regional Incentive Fund (DID) of Tabanan Regency, Bali in 2018," he continued.

A number of locations that have been searched by the KPK are the offices of the PUPR Service, Bapelitbang, the Tabanan Regional Finance Agency, the DPRD, as well as the residences of parties related to the case.

"Currently the investigative team is still working to collect and complete the evidence needed in the investigation process," said Ali. Ali said that complete information on the results of this investigation would be delivered in its entirety if there was sufficient evidence and forced detention efforts were made.

"In time, we will convey in full the construction of the case from the results of the investigation, what articles are suspected, and of course who are the parties designated as suspects," said Ali.

"We hope that the public will continue to monitor the progress of this activity as a form of our transparency as well as efforts to involve the community in every work to eradicate corruption by the KPK," he concluded.
