Executive Director of Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi explained that voters in the age group of 17 to 35 years admitted that they were most worried about issues of corruption and environmental damage.

Based on survey data on corruption issues, as many as 64 percent of young voters said they were very worried, 21 percent were a little worried, 8 percent were a little worried, and 6 percent were not worried at all.
Furthermore, on the issue of environmental damage, as many as 52 percent of young voters said they were very worried, 30 percent were a little worried, 13 percent were a little worried, and 4 percent were not worried at all.
Meanwhile, other issues that worry young voters are health problems, pollution, the loss of traditional values and culture. employment, climate change, radicalism, political divisions, human rights, personal security, freedom of expression, and interracial relations.
"So, those who say they are very worried about the issue of climate change, the police, environmental damage are across the bold. There is nothing left there," said Burhanuddin.
Burhanuddin explained that the majority of young voters who are worried about this crucial issue lie with the voters of all political parties. Therefore, he views politicians should consider the results of this survey.
"In my opinion, this is an issue that our policy makers, including our politicians, must grasp, because there is a change in our demographics and it has an effect related to attitudes towards important issues in the eyes of young people," he explained.
For information, this survey was conducted in the range of September 9 to 16, 2021. The sample was selected completely at random using the multistage random sampling method.
Respondents who took part in the survey were 4,020 respondents, with details of 3,216 respondents aged 17-26 years and 804 respondents aged 27-35 years. The confidence level for this survey is 95 percent.
