This award was handed over directly by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ma'ruf Amin, virtually, Tuesday, October 26 to the Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya.
The vice president said that the Indonesian state firmly guarantees the rights of its citizens to obtain information in accordance with the mandate of Article 28F of the 1945 Constitution and Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Openness of Public Information. This means that the state, government and public bodies must continue to maintain public trust in state administrators.

The Ministry of Environment and Forestry received an Informative Public Agency assessment which is the highest qualification in information disclosure and services. This assessment was obtained from two main indicators, namely website development related to PPID (Information and Documentation Management Officer) and Public Information Announcement. This informative qualification is also given based on the results of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Information Disclosure in 2020.
For approximately five months, KIP carries out Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Public Information Disclosure at Ministry Public Bodies, State Institutions and Non-Ministerial Government Agencies, Non-Structural Institutions, Provincial Governments, State-Owned Enterprises, State Universities, and Political Parties.
