Cases Continue To Decrease, COVID-19 Patients In Garut Only 11 People

GARUT - The Garut COVID-19 Handling Task Force said that there were only 11 COVID-19 patients who were hospitalized or in self-isolation.

"Reports from the Garut District Health Office Task Force for active COVID-19 cases are currently 10 cases of self-isolation and 1 case of isolation in a hospital," said Public Relations of the Garut COVID-19 Task Force, Yeni Yunita in Garut, Antara, Tuesday, October 26.

Yeni said the number of active cases of COVID-19 patients in Garut was lower than the number of cases a week earlier. Even two weeks ago there could be more than 20 cases.

The decline in active cases, he said, was due to the number of patients who finished isolation or recovered from the COVID-19 outbreak, and at least new cases. "The distribution of COVID-19 cases in Garut Regency today has no additional confirmed cases of COVID-19," he said.

He conveyed that the Garut COVID-19 Handling Task Force medical team continued to search and examine swab tests for people who were in close contact with patients and those who were sick with symptoms such as COVID-19.

According to the results of field inspections, the number of cases is not too many.

Yeni said that although the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 has decreased, it does not mean that people are careless. All parties must maintain health protocols to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19 outbreak.

"We continue to socialize the health protocol to the public to prevent the transmission of COVID-19," said Yeni.

The Garut COVID-19 Handling Task Force reported a total of 24,725 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in Garut, consisting of 10 cases of self-isolation, one case being hospitalized, 23,543 cases declared cured, and 1,171 cases dying.
