SERANG - In order to create a conducive situation of public security and safety (Kamtibmas) and suppress the spread of COVID-19, the Ditsamapta of the Banten Police carried out a four-wheel patrol (R4) in the jurisdiction of the Serang Police, Tuesday, October 26.

Banten Police Chief IJP Dr. Rudy Heriyanto said that the R4 Patrol activity was aimed at maintaining the Kamtibmas situation as well as providing advice regarding health protocols (prokes).

"The Banten Police Ditsamapta routinely carries out dialogical patrols in housing, supermarkets, motorcycle taxi bases and other crowded places, where the aim is to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus by implementing 5M and providing a sense of security and comfort to people who are on the move," explained Rudy Heriyanto.

Dirsamapta of Banten Police Grand Commissioner Noerwiyanto added that not only did it provide a sense of security and comfort, the R4 Patrol Ditsamapta Banten Police also appealed to the public to jointly prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

"Personnel in the field do not only carry out patrols, but also appeal to the public to always apply the 5M discipline, namely wearing masks, washing hands, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds, and limiting mobility to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus," said Noerwiyanto.

Noerwiyanto also invited the public to cooperate with the police in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

"And I also invite the community to work together in fighting the spread of COVID-19 so that a conducive situation can be realized," he explained.

In a separate place, the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Shinto Silitonga also invited the public to jointly break the chain of spreading the COVID-19 virus.

"If there is a problem with Kamtibmas, please immediately report to the local police or police or you can also contact Call Center 110 to get police services," concluded Shinto Silitonga.
