LOMBOK - An individual member of the Wanasaba Police, East Lombok Regency, Chief Police Brigadier MN (38), who shot and killed his fellow police officer, Police Brigadier One HT, is now facing the death penalty or life imprisonment.

The head of the East Lombok Police, AKBP Herman Suriyono, said that the criminal threat for MN was still in the process of fulfilling the evidence.

"So now we are digging up the facts to make light of his criminal actions, whether we apply Article 338 or Article 340, of course this will be revealed from the results of the investigation," said Suriyono who was met after attending HT's funeral in East Gontoran, West Lombok Regency, reported by Antara. The shooting incident from MN to HT occurred on Monday, October 25 at one of the houses with the address at BTN Griya Pesona Madani, East Lombok Regency.

Based on the results of the crime scene, the victim was presumed dead at 11.20 WITA, about four hours after one of the witnesses found his body lying covered in blood.

From the autopsy results at Bhayangkara Hospital in Mataram, the victim was declared dead from a gunshot wound lodged in the right chest.
