The Father Is Declared Brain Dead After Receiving COVID-19 Vaccine: The Daughter Files Petition To Government, Donate The Organs To Four People

JAKARTA - A 57-year-old man was declared brain dead after collapsing about two weeks after receiving a single dose of Johnson & Johnson's COVID-19 vaccine.

Conditions that hit the family, made the princess ask the government to clarify the causality between her father's death and the vaccine. With the family decided to donate the male organ for four people. Neither the father's nor his daughter's names were mentioned.

This incident happened in South Korea. In a petition posted to the Cheong Wa Dae or Blue House website, South Korea's Presidential Office on October 22, the daughter claims her father, who died on October 10, was healthy before receiving the vaccine, despite undergoing heart valve surgery 33 years ago.

The daughter said the man received a shot of the COVID-19 vaccine on September 17, was rushed to hospital after collapsing on October 6. He was diagnosed with cerebral infarction. Had to undergo emergency brain surgery, but in the end, he was declared brain dead.

"My father died and later donated his organs to four people. Medics at the hospital said they are not sure if an autopsy can determine the exact cause of my father's death," his daughter wrote in the petition, citing the Korea Times, October 25.

"What I want is not compensation, but an attempt by the government to clarify the causality between my father's death and the vaccination, as well as a sincere apology."

She criticized the hospital's 'lazy' response to patients, who may suffer from abnormal reactions after vaccination.

In addition, he urged the government to inform people about the seriousness of vaccine-related side effects, rather than simply asking people to participate in the country's COVID-19 vaccination program.
