Absorption Of Eggs For Social Assistance And E-Warong Not The Task Of The Ministry Of Social Affairs, Risma: Mosok Sampean Tego I Was Imprisoned

JAKARTA - Social Minister Tri Rismaharini (Risma) stated that the policy of absorbing eggs from farmers for social assistance and e-warong is not the task and function (tusi) of the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"If the policy for purchasing or absorbing eggs is in the Ministry of Social Affairs, I will defend it. But this is not the case. You're going to be imprisoned for using the wrong budget," he said when he received an audience with representatives from the National People's Chicken Breeders Association. PPRN) in Blitar, Antara, Monday, October 25.

Risma explained, there is a Ministry of Social program that intersects with food assistance, namely Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) / Basic Food Cards through the e-warong network. However, the mechanism has its own rules and these rules are not made by the Ministry of Social Affairs.

"The existence of e-warong so far has its own rules. Where these rules are not made by the Ministry of Social Affairs. Mothers can read and study the guidelines related to e-warong," said Risma.

Risma hopes that this condition can be understood by farmers. They were also directed by Risma to read guidelines regarding the existence of e-warong which can be accessed openly through official government websites.

He also reminded that once the aid funds had reached the beneficiaries, they could not be forced to spend the money to buy eggs. Because it is the full right of the beneficiaries according to their needs.

Risma also said that in some areas outside Java, such as Papua, they no longer collect eggs from Java. This is because people are able to raise chickens and meet their own needs. Risma hopes that they can find other alternatives to market their eggs, one of the suggested alternatives is exploring the needs of the food or cake manufacturing industry.

"Regarding this condition, I received a call from the President. I have explained that people in Papua have been able to raise livestock and have succeeded, so they no longer bring in from other regions," he said.

Responding to Risma's explanation, Yessy Yuni, the PPRN administrator, said she was satisfied. Later, he will socialize the explanation to other breeders.

"The explanation from Mrs. Risma is very detailed. Thank you, Mrs. Social Minister for accepting us. Later we will pass it on to our friends," said Yessy Yuni.

Regarding the e-warong or social assistance program policies involving other ministries, Yessy Yuni said she would follow up to establish communication with the relevant ministries.
