Two Groups Of Teens In Sawah Besar Arrested By Officers During Brawl

JAKARTA - Members of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Sawah Besar Police arrested the perpetrators of the brawl that occurred on Jalan Pangeran Jayakarta, Mangga Dua Selatan Village, Central Jakarta.

The teenagers are known to be residents of Tamansari, West Jakarta and Mangga Dua Selatan (MDS).

The Sawah Besar Police Chief AKP Maulana Mukarom confirmed the arrests of the teenagers involved in the brawl. A number of sharp weapons were also seized.

"Yes, we have secured the teenagers involved in the brawl, including those involved in the slashing, we have also arrested the police chief when contacted, Monday, October 25.

The police chief explained that the teenagers involved in the brawl had been taken into custody.

"The noise is through social media (Medsos) via Instagram," he said.

As a result of the brawl, one victim suffered a stab wound to the left hand.

"We haven't determined who the suspect is because investigators are still investigating. We'll give further information after the investigation has been completed," he said.
