JAKARTA - Tanah Abang Metro Police Investigators are still investigating the alleged exhibitionist who was arrested in the vicinity of the Sudirman Station incident, Karet Tengsin Village, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta.
The Head of Criminal Investigation at the Tanah Abang Metro Police, Kompol Haris Ahmad, admitted that the alleged exhibitionist had been arrested. However, the victim did not believe that it was the culprit because the time (the incident) was dark.
"I can't give a detailed name (of the perpetrator) because the victim doesn't believe this is the culprit. I'm afraid he's not the suspect. This is still being investigated," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for Tanah Abang Police Kompol Haris to reporters, Sunday, October 24, early in the morning.
Kanit also said that confirming the face of the perpetrator based on the video is still not possible because the image quality is not clear.
"In terms of video, only the victim who is face-to-face doesn't really believe it's his face. Even from CCTV, it's dark or dim," explained Kanit.
Kanit further explained that his party arrested the alleged perpetrator based on the evidence they had.
"We arrested this person based on clues only. Not yet on valid evidence, yes, info from the sweeper over there. Yes, even at night he likes to hang out there, sir, alone, said the sweeper. But not necessarily he who show off their genitals anyway," he said.
The Tanah Abang Metro Police are still investigating the alleged perpetrator. The suspect is still being questioned by the investigators.
"It's still being investigated," he said.
